The Liszt Institute in Bucharest organized between May 11-14 its 22nd Hungarian Music Festival in Bucharest, a competition of outstanding importance for Romanian and international musical talents. The Hungarian musical masterpieces performed during the event, also known as the meeting of talent and tradition, not only evoke the rich cultural heritage, but also represent an inspiring challenge for young musicians. The festival creates a special platform for them, where they can test their knowledge, develop their artistic voice, and at the same time enter into a dialogue with the musical world of another nation – building a bridge between cultures, generations, and creative perspectives. At the awards ceremony, Ambassador Katalin Kissné Hlatki greeted the audience, the artists and the teachers who prepared them, and the jury members, during which she said: “The young artists not only demonstrated their technical knowledge and artistic sensitivity during the three days of competition, but also the commitment with which they turn towards the musical heritage of another nation. The performance of Hungarian musical literature reveals special layers in the interpretation of the Romanian artists, while it is further strengthening the living tissues of cultural relations.”
