The 5th Hungarian Theatre Festival in Bucharest kicked off on September 28, 2026. H.E. Katalin Kissné Hlatki, Hungary’s Ambassador to Bucharest, attended the highly successful production of “Liliom” by the Figura Studio Theatre of Gheorgheni. Following the performance, the Ambassador greeted the actors in an intimate gathering, noting that hearing the Hungarian language in Bucharest is always uplifting, and truly captivating in a theatrical setting. She thanked the artists and the director for the magnificent experience and opportunity, adding that she eagerly looks forward to the upcoming performances. Since its inception, BukFe5zt has been realized through the collaboration of the Hungarian Embassy in Bucharest, the Association of Hungarian Theatres (MASZIN), and the Liszt Institute in Bucharest.
